Follow new Consultant Jo Irwin

"Follow Jo" brings you a series of updates from Johanna Irwin, who’s just joined us as a Consultant.

Jo already has an idea of what Jamie at Home’s all about as her husband is our Assistant Accountant, Andrew Irwin! Keep checking back to see how she’s getting on and how she finds juggling a busy family life (Jo and Andrew have four daughters!), working as a teacher and Jamie at Home.


30 September
On Friday evening, Andrew and I set up the product display ready for my first party on my own, which was a Saturday coffee morning for the neighbours.

At 11am they started turning up, and by 11.30 they were all nattering over coffee and biscuits. They really loved the DVD, and one said that she had only turned up to see Jamie!

By 12.30 I had lots of orders, two new bookings, and a potential recruit! I also managed to sell five pepper grinders, is that a record?

That afternoon I was off cycling on the South Downs with my Junior Sea Cadets, beautiful views. Sunday I placed my first order on the system, and got a new lead from Debbi my manager. It’s really great to have that help!

Monday after teaching Year 11’s I was out at my Sea Cadet Unit in the evening, cooking with the Juniors, whilst Andrew was out talking to Rosemary Moon the food writer about the party she has agreed to hold for me. I cannot believe that it is only Tuesday, and we have been so busy!
